The Faux Pas Press #144
Around This Very Corner
By Chambo Fresh
You'll wait half your life to find out what is there. Wait most your days anticipating the would be tales of dreams half-dreamt and then forgotten, see monsters large and small, wondering if this will be the one, the one that will break you. But I don't question any more, the grandeur of this day, the Potter bends and moves the wheel, molds this mass of clay. So, pushing cards across felt is perfect, it always perfect, without the trying, and crying, and dying. This fool moves along the cards easily and the results are what they are. So, I'll just do my work. My greatest work. It hasn't ever been clear cut, I'm not hippie drifter so to speak but I am here. I am in this place. Now.
And just around this very corner, the daylight will surely come. You will not wander in vain. You will make this choice and then another, and another. Outcomes will be outcomes. Often they are completely and totally out of your control. The game of control is a fickle one that doesn't always pay off. A month and a year of success is and will be yours. Do the simple, daily shit. Do with it intention and pay little mind to what others may fear and then project onto you because of their shortcomings. The journey will be splendid. The journey will be amazing if you let it. Giving in doesn't always mean giving up. It is not always 半途而废. The test scores come easily if you let them. The measurements of your desire all already here. Thank you.
