The Faux Pas Press #142
To The High Priestess
By Chambo Fresh
The coming together of opposing forces
it is where the egos divulge
a conscious Heavenly Mother form
a putting off of old
And from this cliff from whence I fall
the open sensory glass
It is to you I answer most
my present, future, past
A kingdom of the star and moon
I give away to thee
and rushing push my chips all in
there is none to ransom me
How surely I have know the fall
and eaten from your fruit
but without this knowledge walk this road
I'm blind I'm deaf, I'm mute
The High Priestess voice is all I hear
and visions from of the day
When Lola makes her way to me
my ears clearly hear her say -
"Your worthy, Father, and worthy son
no problems here to find.
We are sitting round the fire again
sound spirit, heart, and mind.

The Magician Card
By Chambo Fresh
The Magician is the archetype of the active, masculine principle - the ultimate achiever. And what does it mean to be the achiever? The measurements vary.
He symbolizes the power to tap universal forces and use them for creative purposes. Note his stance in the picture. He acts as a lightening rod - one arm extended up into the Divine for inspiration, the other pointing toward Earth to ground this potent energy. His abilities appear magical at times because his will helps him achieve what seem to be miracles.
What makes the Magician so powerful? First, he is not afraid to act. He believes in himself and is willing to put that belief on the line. He also knows what he intends to do and why. He doesn't hesitate because he understands his situation exactly. The Magician can focus with single-minded determination. As long as he remembers the divine source of his power, the Magician remains the perfect conduit for miracles. In a reading, the Magician implies that the primal forces of creativity are yours if you can claim your power and act with awareness and concentration. This card is a signal to act and act now, provided you understand exactly what you want and are committed to getting it.
A Magician remembers who he is - there are Hippocratic and Hierophantic forces at work that will try to convince the Magician that he is not going to succeed. He must of course remember the divine source of his power. He becomes Wizard through time. Then he can become the bearer of light.
I don't intend to wander this earth dawned with a cape and hoisting a staff. But I will if things get to squirrely down hear.

The Faux Pas Press #140: The Magician and The Fool
The Faux Pas Press #140
The Magician and The Fool Begins
by Chambo Fresh
Too often I am convinced of greatness. I am convinced that I am great. But I am not. Just one man by his own will can change the world of course. Sometimes, it works out. He plays Sorcerer. Correction. I play Sorcerer. And we know what happens to the Sorcerer at the end of the tale. He tries to become author and finisher of his life's work. And the tale fares poorly for him.
But I feel this. There is one who to the Garden comes. One who breaks the cold silence, uniting both the Magician and the Fool. There is one to whom I owe all. There is one who would not break me if it is not for my own good. He will direct my actions. Give me right thought. Give me power beyond the confines of this soil. Shoot love to the heart.
You can play the hand you are dealt. And by yourself plant the seeds into the ground of your volition's choosing. You can force your way towards the nearest nursery and buy the greatest of equipment. Sign the deed to the best land. Mix your own concoctions of brilliance. But when the seasons change, the harvest will not come. You will find yourself playing Magician and then you will find yourself playing Fool. That is how it works. Neither good nor bad. Neither a better scenario than the other. But a tangible reality nonetheless. Today. Today, I surrender. I remind myself that all good comes from one greater than myself. If not, I find myself on either side of the pendulum.
I'll plant in this soil. The land granted me. And I am grateful.

No Place Is Greater Than The Next
By Chambo Fresh
When you are the kind of person who does everything 100%.........When you esteem yourself to be the smartest man in the room, not matter how smart the room….When you repel all that stinks of mediocrity as if you have no part of it... If you were so smart, why have you sought destruction as if it were the only way of handling progress? This life is long. The undead tones of minstrel cheer ring out from the belfries, the flying demon-gods of Coronado soar upon the Monster Lords, and found beneath the wreckage of yesterday emerges a giant never before seen, a giant looming in the undertow, waiting for his moment to carrying them, waiting for his moment to prove, now and forever, the Lord of Infinite Light reigns. He lives. He lives who once was dead. Now, upon this uncomfortable night, the giant waits for the verdict. And it is good. Surely it is good. Quenched of guilt, quenched of shame, accountable for choices, pouring out goodness from a sobriety pen, living in the one percent of the one percent of the one percent. This year brings with it new challenges, challenges that can and will be overcome. Not by some sleight of hand trick, not by intelligence and intelligence alone, not by willpower, but through the power of he who is mighty to save. A life worth living empowered to move when movement is needed and stand still when stillness prevails. I am he who floats beneath the undertow. I am he who lives to see the changes – lives to see them in this ever-transforming mortal frame. I am he, surrendered to the power greater than self, the power that can be still. Those who cannot understand – they will understand in due time – when all this night has concluded. No place is greater than the next.
